SANTA FE, N.M – A new open-air night market is coming to Santa Fe this summer. The 505 Night Market will kick off with a launch party on Saturday, July 18, from 5–9 p.m. at The Kitchen Table Santa Fe featuring DJ Ride, followed by its inaugural flagship event at the Santa Fe Railyard on Saturday, August 8, from 5–9 p.m. Both events are free, family-friendly, and open to the public.

Inspired by the bustling night markets found around the world, the 505 Night Market will feature a curated lineup of street food-inspired vendors, local makers, artists, and live entertainment. The market is designed to showcase the creativity and diversity of New Mexico's small businesses while creating a vibrant evening gathering space for residents and visitors alike. More than 80 vendors have joined the vendor roster since the first call for participants was announced in May.

The 505 Night Market is made possible in part through the support of the City of Santa Fe's Office of Economic Development, a crucial partner providing funding and resources to help launch the market and strengthen opportunities for local entrepreneurs. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting small businesses, fostering economic vitality, and creating vibrant community spaces in Santa Fe.

The launch event is presented in partnership with The Kitchen Table Santa Fe, a community-driven culinary hub founded by Andrea Abedi. Through commercial kitchen access, educational programming, events, and business incubation, The Kitchen Table Santa Fe supports local food entrepreneurs while strengthening Santa Fe’s food community.

"The Kitchen Table was built on the idea that food brings people together. Our mission is to create opportunities for entrepreneurs, celebrate local culture, and provide a space where community, creativity, and collaboration can thrive,” said Abedi.

The 505 Night Market was founded by Rachel Lee, founder of Artisans of Nations, and Lorraine Chow, owner of Green Chile Crisp and Santa Fe Watershed Association stewardship and outreach manager. Drawing inspiration from their Chinese American heritage and a shared love of Santa Fe's food and creative communities, Lee and Chow envisioned a night market that celebrates cultural exchange, entrepreneurship, and underrepresented food businesses.

“Both of my parents are small business owners in the wholesale food manufacturing space,” Lee said. “Small business food owners have a soft spot in my heart. My vision and hope is to support local entrepreneurs and the community through these Night Market events. Santa Fe’s diverse, multi-ethnic community, and strong local economy are the perfect ingredients for the Night Market model to last for years to come, while making a positive impact.”

Chow added, “Through my work organizing cleanups and community events at the Santa Fe Watershed Association, I’ve seen how powerful it can be to bring people together around a shared purpose. The 505 Night Market is a natural extension of that–combining my passion for food, community-building, and of course, having fun! I’ve been blown away by the support this project has received from my colleagues at The Kitchen Table where I make Green Chile Crisp, the City of Santa Fe, the vibrant Asian community here, and so many new and longtime friends joining together to help turn this vision into reality.”

The founding team was later joined by Santa Fe siblings Will and Carmen Brandenburg, owners of Water Mind LLC. Their experience in event production, marketing, and community engagement has helped shape the market's vision and growth.

“As a Santa Fe native, I love that the 505 Night Market brings together the best of New Mexico—our food, music, art, and beautiful nights—to celebrate our diversity,” said Will Brandenburg. “This is something New Mexico has been missing, and it is truly needed.”

The 505 Night Market is connected with ArtWalk Santa Fe, whose in-kind support helps strengthen relationships between local artists, businesses, and community members, adding to the market's collaborative spirit.

“ArtWalk Santa Fe aims to provide opportunities for our vendors and the community of Santa Fe to interface in meaningful, economically beneficial, and artistically intriguing ways! Our goal is to support all local events that give vendors a moment to shine,” said Caitlyn Stuart, the organizer of ArtWalk Santa Fe.

The 505 Night Market actively welcomes vendors representing a wide range of culinary and cultural traditions. The interest form remains open for food vendors, artisans, makers, and entertainers interested in joining the vendor roster.
