A Heartfelt Thank You from the 505 Night Market Team

From the four of us – Carmen, Lorraine, Rachel, and Will – thank you.

Our inaugural 505 Night Market was an incredible success, and we are deeply grateful to our vendors, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, performers, friends, family, and the thousands of people who showed up and made Saturday evening so meaningful and electric. 

We set out to bring the spirit of night markets from around the world while creating something that’s distinctly 505 and for the 505.Food, drinks, music, art, performances, cultures, and traditions across Northern New Mexico came together in one place. We are incredibly proud to have created a space for businesses without storefronts to sell their goods, to give artists, performers, and entrepreneurs another platform to share their work, and community organizations to connect with neighbors. The overwhelmingly positive feedback for our pilot series at The Kitchen Table Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Railyard has been enormous and is deeply appreciated.  

You proved something we believed from the beginning: Santa Fe is hungry for nightlife. More than that, you showed us how much our community needs third spaces that are free, accessible, and welcoming. It was so wonderful to see families, young people, locals, and visitors sharing space and experiencing the feeling of togetherness as the sun set over the Railyard.

And, of course, the question we heard all night and since Saturday: When is the next one?

Honestly, we don’t have the answer just yet. One thing we know for sure is this won’t be the last 505 Night Market. We are approaching these conversations very thoughtfully and very intentionally. 

Saturday’s event was an enormous undertaking emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially. We each have day jobs and other responsibilities, and we're incredibly grateful to our employers, and loved ones for their patience, flexibility, and support. Right now, we're going to take a breath, reset, and come back together with clarity before making any commitments.
